Debt Ultra Short Term

Another category of debt funds that has given stable returns in the last 12 months. Templeton India MMA remained the best bet under the category with an annual retun of 9.31%, whereas Birla Cash Plus Sweep remained the worst with an annual return of 4.42%, but then, even this was better than many of the equity schemes. What say?

These funds have stated criteria for investments and their portfolio comprises of only those options that meet their criteria. These funds are concentrated and thus riskier. However, even this debt category has managed to escape without delivering negative return under any scheme. Average return for the category remained at 8.61% for the year.
